Online Donations for the Iron Academy Warrior Challenge Student Fundraiser

Thank you for your support of our students as they raise money for Iron Academy through rigorous physical activity!

The funds that you donate will help pay for
1) academic expenses such as intensive week activities, PE equipment, classroom enhancements, library books;
2) extracurricular expenses such as field trips, team uniforms, referees, sports equipment;
3) training in biblical manhood such as challenge coins, Crucible Camp, and Forging Camp expenses.

We have a goal of raising at least $10,000 by November 1 and need your help!

We have raised about $8000 so far.  We'll keep you updated as we make progress toward surpassing our $10,000 goal.

A special thanks to our corporate sponsors of the Warrior Challenge:

Why is this fundraising event called the Warrior Challenge?

Iron Academy students are divided into 3 tribes, named for King David's 3 mightiest warriors: Eleazar, Shammah, and Josheb.  Warriors obviously need to be physically fit and work well as a team to defeat their enemies.  So we are challenging each student to reach a rigorous individual fitness goal for which he will seek donations and to encourage his tribemates to do their best as they compete for our two tribe awards: the ULTIMATE WARRIORS for the tribe that has 100% participation in fundraising and raises the most money and the STRONGEST WARRIORS for the tribe with the highest average reps for push-ups, sit-ups, and fastest times for the 1 mile run.  Your donations also help our students win awesome individual prizes as they compete to raise the most money!

Our students are being challenged to do more rigorous fitness than just walking a walkathon!  Our students have been preparing for a one mile run, push-ups, sit-ups, squats, and burpees!  Many Iron students are preparing to pass the United States Army Physical Fitness Test, modified for younger teens, of running a mile in less than 9 minutes, doing at least 20 push-ups in 2 minutes, and doing at least 30 sit-ups in 2 minutes all with the Army's proper fitness technique.  Several students are capable of blowing past those minimum requirements!   We held our event on October 25 and the brief video below shows how hard they worked and how much they encouraged each other!
